A New Era for Hongqi Türkiye: Dr. Berk Çağdaş Appointed CEO and General Manager
Premium automotive brand Hongqi Türkiye has made a significant appointment to further strengthen its management structure. With 30 years of senior executive experience across the automotive, finance and corporate management sectors, Dr. Berk Çağdaş has assumed the role of CEO and General Manager of Hongqi Türkiye.
Aiming to further strengthen its position in Türkiye’s premium automotive market, Hongqi Türkiye will continue to advance its brand development, customer experience, operational excellence and sustainable growth strategies under the leadership of Dr. Berk Çağdaş.
Having held senior executive positions at leading companies in the automotive industry, Dr. Berk Çağdaş served as CEO and General Manager of Renault MAİS A.Ş. between 2016 and 2025. During this period, he led the company’s core operations, including sales, marketing, after-sales services, dealer network management, business planning and financial management.
Prior to Renault MAİS, Çağdaş served as CFO and General Manager at Doğuş Otomotiv between 1999 and 2016. He assumed key responsibilities in the company’s financial structuring, corporate strategy, investor relations, risk management, budgeting and business development processes, and also led Doğuş Otomotiv’s initial public offering process.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Berk Çağdaş served as Executive Vice President at Garanti Bankası / Körfezbank, gaining extensive experience in corporate finance, treasury management and corporate risk management.
Alongside his professional career, Dr. Berk Çağdaş continued his academic studies and completed a doctoral program in advanced finance and strategic risk management at Istanbul Technical University. He also attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and pursued studies in banking, treasury management and finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

As CEO and General Manager of Hongqi Türkiye, Dr. Berk Çağdaş will lead the strategic and operational management of the brand’s activities in Türkiye. His extensive experience across the automotive and finance sectors is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening Hongqi’s premium brand positioning in Türkiye and supporting its long-term growth objectives.
